Mosoni-Danube Bridge, a new bridge bearing the Freyssinet name in Hungary

Freyssinet has been installing a metal arch bridge's locked-coil cables on the Györ bypass in the north-west of the country.
The prosperous city of
Györ, the fifth largest conurbation in Hungary, is undergoing significant economic expansion, and road building work started in 2017 to improve urban mobility. The project includes the construction of a new bypass, together with a metal arch bridge.

Main contractor Hódút chose Freyssinet to install the locked-coil cables needed for the structure. In August and September 2017,
Freyssinet installed a total of 68 cables in record time.

Launched by the city authorities in January 2017, the road project will reduce travelling times by relieving
congestion on one of the busiest routes in the city when it is opened to the public in May 2018. Named the Mosoni-Danube Bridge after the river that it crosses, the bridge is 180-meter-long and used by over 9,000 vehicles every day.
