Freyssinet anchoring systems are used to hold, restrain and support buildings and civil engineering structures, either permanently or temporarily.
Anchoring products are engineered systems that stabilize grounds and/or fix a structure to the ground, enabling load transfer into an appropriate stratum.

 

The anchors ensure the stability of the soil and allow for large and deep excavations. They are often temporary, as the long-term stability of the ground will be ensured by the structure built in the excavation (car parks, basements, etc.).

The anchor is the essential element that transmit forces from a retaining wall to the ground and ensures the overall stability.

Vertical anchors are generally pre-stressed and improve the stability of dams, while reducing water ingress along the contact line with the rock.

Ground anchors are generally used to improve the stability of an existing quay wall.
For new construction, port tie rods are used to transfer the forces to rear piles or sheet piling.

Anchors ensure the stability of galleries by balancing the forces of the ground. This technique applies to mines and tunnels.

Vertical anchors provide an effective link between the foundation and the ground, while limiting the effects of fatigue when pre-stressed. The anchors can be used for towers, radio masts, wind turbines, etc.

Anchors allow structures to be built on low bearing capacity or unstable ground. The vertical loads of the structure are transmitted to the deeper, stable areas.

Anchors are used to hold structures in place that are subject to high water uplift pressure and therefore allow structures to be built in underwater areas by compensating for Archimedes’ principle.

Anchoring a cable anchor block to the ground by means of pre-stressed ground anchors makes it possible to limit or cancel the movements, and therefore the fatigue effect.

Strand anchors

These are multi-strand ground anchors, based on Freyssinet post-tensioning systems (ETA 06-0226, CE marking) and designed as post-tensioning solutions for geotechnics. Temporary, semi-permanent and permanent anchors are available, offering a different corrosion protection class (EN 1537). Standard range up to 13 strands, larger anchors on request.

Cuttable Ground Anchors

Made of GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer) instead of steel, this innovative system is used to stabilize excavations: to allow subsequent drilling or excavation without the risk of obstruction by steel left in the ground after initial work, to prevent the spread of stray currents, or for tax reasons. There is no need to remove the tendons after use, Cuttable Ground Anchors can be easily cut or destroyed by any drilling or excavation equipment.

Freyssibar® anchors

Their main components are derived from the Freyssinet prestressing bar system (ETA-09/0169). The corrosion protection for temporary or permanent use and the injection system are specifically adapted to comply with international standards for ground anchors and tailored to project specifications.

Freyssi 500-E

The bar Freyssi500-E is a hot laminated bar made of reinforcing bar steel grade (500/550). It has ribs that form a thread along its entire length, allowing accessories (couplers and nuts) to be screwed in at any point. With its large range of diameters from 16 to 75 mm, it is used for all types of anchors: ground anchors, soil nails & rock bolts, micropiles, tie rods. The Freyssi500-E is designed with a left-hand thread.

Freyssi 670-E

The bar Freyssi670-E is a hot laminated bar made of a specific steel grade (670/800). It has ribs that form a thread along its entire length, allowing accessories (couplers and nuts) to be screwed in at any point. With its large range of diameters from 18 to 75 mm, it is used for all types of anchors: ground anchors, soil nails & rock bolts, micropiles, tie rods. The Freyssi670-E is designed with a right-hand thread.

Freyssi SD (Self Drilling)

The system is used for anchors installed in loose soil or where the borehole may collapse. It allows drilling, installation of the bar and grouting in a single operation, which avoids the use of a casing. FreyssiCell, a load cell system

Freyssinet also supplies, under the brand FreyssiCell, a load cell system, which measures the force in the tendon during the work and throughout the life of the structure.

The system has a centralised measurement unit, which allows all cell-equipped ground anchors to be monitored from a single workstation. Other data acquisition systems can be connected on request.
7 standards models are available in stock, from 500 kN to 3100 kN.
Perfectly designed for all types of anchors (bars, strands, …), it is easy to install.
