Freyssinet was responsible for the construction of the Thu Thiem 2 bridge connecting downtown Ho Chi Minh City to Thu Thiem New Urban Area.
Apart from the foundations, we provided a complete main contractor service on this project!
Freyssinet scopre of work:
- Shop drawings and geometry control, in collaboration with WSP in Finland
- Steel for deck and pylon, including supply, painting and delivery by barges
- Erection of the steel segments of the main span with a lifting frame
- Design, supply and installation of stay cables
- Design, supply and installation of bearings and expansion joints
- Cladding structure (sub-contracted)
- Supply and installation of the Health Monitoring System
The bridge was opened to traffic in April. The bridge has already become an emblem of the city thanks to its particularly well-balanced design and its elegant inclined pylon.
