The Coatzacoalcos I Bridge lies south-east of the city of Coatzacoalcos on federal highway 180 between Matamoros and Puerto Juárez, in the State of Veracruz, Mexico. Opened in 1962, this road and railway lift bridge required considerable repair and reinforcement work, which was carried out in several stages between September 2011 and October 2014.

After the first phase of work to repair the Hammersmith Flyover before the London Olympic Games in 2012, Freyssinet has been chosen again for the second step. Work to strengthen the structure, with the bearings replaced, a new carriageway drainage system installed and the entire flyover waterproofed and resurfaced, has started in January 2014.
Freyssinet were engaged by Midland Expressway Ltd to carry out inspections on a number of structures on the M6 Toll Road. During these inspections, it was identified that existing longitudinal guide bearings on the River Cole Bridge were defective. These bridge bearings were adopted by the toll road from existing road networks. Freyssinet were then instructed to provide a solution to re-instate the required guidance of the deck.
The Seine-Maritime Department chose Freyssinet for repair works to the Mathilde Bridge in Rouen, damaged by a severe fire in October 2012.
