Freyssinet Thailand has signed in January 2015 a contract for the repair
works on Pinklao bridge in Bangkok. This 39-year-old prestressed
concrete bridge presents some important cracks. With a length
of 658 meter, 2 approach viaducts and a main central balanced cantilever
bridge, the structure has an overall width of 26 m.
Contract works consist in carrying out dynamic and static load tests,
replacing 48 corroded bearings, fixing steel plates under the deck
and applying Foreva ® TFC H 300 carbon fiber. Work started in March
2015 and will be completed in February 2016. This contract is
a major success for Freyssinet Thailand who has been able to offer
the most relevant proposal to the owner.
